Bioelectronic Interfaces Lab

The centre includes a space designated for bioelectronics research activities. This lab is set up for wet experiments, semiconductor device cleaning, and bioelectronic measurements. Available equipment includes two laminar flow cabinets, a confocal microscope and a full stock of general lab supplies.

Available equipment includes:

Zeiss LSM710 Confocal Microscope

The LSM710 is designed for imaging fluorescence in biological samples. It utilises an inverted microscope, multiple laser sources and a detector capable of acquiring spectral information. 3D visualisation is possible by stacking images together.

  • Designed for imaging fluorescence
  • Stacks of images can be acquired for 3D visualization
  • Multiple lasers for excitation at 405, 458, 488, 514, 561, 594, and 633 nm

Monmouth Circulaire Fume Cupboards

The Circulaire fume cupboard recirculates air to capture and filter contaminants. The system provides a continuous flow of purified air into the work area and the laboratory to protect the sample and the user.

  • Recirculating ductless fume cabinets
  • Enhanced safety
  • Compressed air and nitrogen taps
  • Acetone and IPA
  • Ultrasonic cleaner unit
