The Centre for Electronics Frontiers actively fosters an environment of entrepreneurship working closely with industry to inspire new innovations in products and applications for making the world a better place. Recognised as innovative and transformative, CEF encompasses diverse expertise ranging from materials process development to electronic devices, circuits and systems.

Our world-leading research team are continually generating new ideas, embedding their knowledge in cutting-edge research to provide pioneering solutions for real life problems in nanoelectronics, AI, next generation batteries, biosensors, neuromorphic engineering and oxide spintronics. It is our ambition to push the frontiers of electronics through our research areas and transform modern society through technology.

The Centre for Electronics Frontiers has already forged close industry links and the images here show who we have successfully collaborated with. Forming strong, strategic relationships and sharing our ideas to the domestic commercial infrastructure is fundamental to our success. We are always open to new and interesting collaborations where a combination of expertise may be mutually beneficial and inspire new innovations in products and applications.

ArC Instruments

Start-up company ArC Instruments was developed in the Centre for Electronics Frontiers to deliver high performance testing platforms for characterising ‘en masse’ novel technologies in a fast and automated fashion. It is now contributing to technological advances at global electronics companies and research institutes around the world.

ArC Instuments continues to maintain a close, working relationship with the Centre for Electronics Frontiers through supporting and complementing research at the University and providing opportunities including internships and PhD placements.
